Research Professor, but prefer Scrymaster. Embedded scientist and statistician in emergency medicine. See #NerdNite talk https://youtu.be/Gd180NiWSCg. Don't believe in statistical significance. Amateur astronomer and will post photos of the heavens.
A brilliant health message from @healthnz.govt.nz that only #NZ and #Australia will understand.

What were the police thinking getting the driver to drive that car at all following the crash? Obviously it wouldn't pass a warrant. #NZ @nzherald.bsky.social

In case you missed this late-breaker at #AHA25. ICare-FASTER showed that the introduction of a high-sensitive Point-of-care troponin assay in 6 emergency departments (n=60,000) was safe & reduced length of stay. #EMSky #CardioSky

At #AHA2025? I would love a photo of Martin Than presenting our ICare-FASTER point of care #troponin #EMsky trial results as a late-breaker at 09:24 on Sunday (session FS.05).
The culmination of a 7.5y project. 60,000 patients, hundreds of staff.
Thanks

ps. the results are worth the wait

For #Stunday the Sculptor Filament Galaxy captured this week from Christchurch #NZ At 11M light years it’s really close! About 70% diameter of the moon in the sky.

15 years ago this morning I was woken by what was to be the first of a series of devastating #earthquake s. They took 185 lives, and ultimately resulted in the destruction of many thousands of buildings and homes. We still get occasional reminders with a jolt from below. #Christchurch #NZ

Hey Kiwis, did you know that if you head out early evening at the moment & look up you’ll be staring at the galactic heart? Here’s a couple of #stunday star forming regions near there. Spot the pillars of creation. #NZ #Astronomy

For the 3rd time astronomers have detected a visitor from another star system. 3I/ATLAS is likely a large comet older than our sun. I captured it, twice, from my #NZ backyard & with the help of astronomers at #SETI here it is. Gotta love citizen science.

This bright star is 1000 times brighter than it was 10 days ago. It is a Nova. For decades if not centuries it had been stealing matter from a companion star until it was enough to go nuclear, literally, on its surface. #stunday #astronomy

First they came for #statistics & called it Data Science, now they pretend AI is something other.
At least they haven’t called it AI Science … I guess that particular marketing strategy is yet to come.

Just saw a graph I don't like... can I call it out? Please?
OK, I'll be nice & won't 'cause this is #Bluesky.
But, please do not draw graphs with lines between averages at different time points. Very deceptive. If you can, show individual time courses.
