I’m in an ongoing situation with a pair of local ravens who alternate between stealing eggs from our pet ducks and observing us from the top of this nearby tree. I want to tap into this potential partnership somehow, but I think the ravens actually literally and figuratively look down on me.

I’m always so very ready to finish the slow creep towards winter solstice so we can gain more minutes of daylight, but nights that look like this make it a bit easier to be patient for the sun.
