These days, the only way I keep going is by spreading acts of kindness and keeping negativity away. A few times I have also opened myself to the healing power of horses who themselves were rescued. Sounds weird, maybe, but for me, it empowers me. #horserescue #horse #tecatehorserescue

The herd that heals, and this guy, Sheikh, especially makes me feel wonderful! If I had a wee little house with a paddock, I would adopt him. Such a beautiful horse! Everytime I visit he runs up to me. :-)

Nothing brings me much needed peace and calm as does giving and getting healing from rescue horses. The beautiful Sheikh, an Arabian horse who can’t eat chunky food as he has a cleft palate (but loves applesauce!) still waits to be adopted from Tecate Horse Rescue #horse #rescue #TecateHorseRescue

Currently reading Daughter of the Forest. It should have a strong trigger warning for SA, but I am loving it. Beautifully written re-telling of some fable about 7 swans (that I clearly am not familiar with, lol!). Hope it ends happy (no spoilers please!) 📚🪐💙

Small things still matter. We were fostering this lovely gentle giant (well, not really giant, just large) and he is now on a foster trial. I hope it works! This cuddler deserves it!

Just moved from Bay Area to way south (Potrero, CA). We lost our beloved rescue staffy Tinker on October 22, nearly 15 years old. Came with us overseas, across continents. We will open our hearts again, but still shattered..

We lost our Beloved Tinker last month (he was almost 15). Today, we helped find the owners of a 20 year old dog who had been lost. Briefly we got to cuddle a dog again, & somehow, it is helping me heal from my grief. #velvethippo
