The cruel actions of Moreton Bay council are bad enough.

But if we were a just and fair society, this would not just be a matter of homeless people's right being violated.

Being homeless would itself be considered a breach of #HumanRights.

It's also a gross policy failure. #homelessness #auspol

Australia likes to believe in meritocracy. But an unspoken pecking order, reinforced through schools and institutions, turns privilege into entitlement and inequality into shame, writes John Frew. #Education #Inequality #Class #AustralianSchools
The pecking order: how class blindness governs Australian schools
Australia prides itself on fairness and opportunity, yet an unspoken pecking order shapes who advances and who is blamed for falling behind. In schools and public institutions, structural inequality is dressed up as personal failure, with shame doing much of the work.

If the Liberals are so incensed by the parliamentary entitlements rules, why didn’t they change them in the ten years they were in power? Maybe after Bronnie took the chopper ride, or Susssan charged the taxpayer her flights to buy a Gold Coast apartment?

Australia Institute research shows 80% of Australia’s gas is exported by multinational gas corporations, who then tell us we have a gas shortage. Big Gas is Taking the Piss.

Australia Institute research shows that a 25% tax on gas exports would increase supply and cut energy bills for Australians.

So it’s ok for Karvelas on the tax payers’ purse to be able to afford a ski holiday and not ok for a Labor politician to pay for her a trip for her kids.

Reeks of it’s ok for Crabb and her partner ( both on the taxpayers’ purse ) to buy a $4 mill house and not the PM.

Why are electricity bills so high? The Coalition & fossil media say renewables. It's actually coal, gas and corporate profiteering. We look at the evidence

Bit late sharing, but the fact someone can win an election this way is both blood boiling and chilling.

Daniel volunteers were shouted at, spat on and stalked. They were told by police to travel in groups. I couldn't get it all in here.

And Wilson shows no remorse

'There are still people recovering from the trauma': The Goldstein campaign was worse than we thought
While the 2025 federal election inquiry has shown there was a clear rise in hostility at election booths around the country, Tim Wilson's electorate of Goldstein seems to have reached another level.
