Possibly 'cos those who experienced its true horror have died?
Thinking of my dad who was an army doctor at the end of WW2 & saw the liberation of the camps. He never talked about it except once, not long before he died, when a bit drunk... he just cried. :(
He saw EU as peace in Europe: never again

I'm sure you've already seen it, but for your followers, I strongly recommend the documentary 'It's Quieter In The Twilight' for an education in just how much has gone into keeping the Voyager project going over the years. www.eyeforfilm.co.uk/review/its-q...

Here in Geneva they introduced free travel passes for young people who are studying or poor & half price for seniors. Tourists also get free e-passes. Successful & popular w/ reduction of traffic etc as well.
Ofc it also works: clean, safe, efficient, frequent, easy & total integrated timetabling.

Hmmm... A touch unfair. Saw them and Feelgoods (w/ Wilko Johnson and after) a dew times, back in the day. Wilko & DrF clearly influenced many... and goes back to Mick Green (Pirates). Liked them all....

I think Wilko Johnson (of Dr Feelgod) and Mick Green (Pirates), earlier, influenced a lot of them.

Check out Wilko Johnson + early Dr Feelgood. Seems a clear influence. Saw Go4, DrF at various gigs, back in the day.
Wilko was in turn influenced by Mick Green (MG & The Pirates). His lead+rhythm style was amazing. Saw his in-memoriam gig at 100 Club w/ The Pirates, Wilko, Feelgoods & more.

Try "can I bum a fag?" for full effect. :-)
Translation: can I take, with little commitment to repay, one of your cigarettes, please?
Hilarity and/or outrage may ensue.

Iain Banks was ahead of his time on this as so much else.... Hoping for The Culture rather than our current dystopian nonsense.
Haggis is great... sounds wonderful. Yum!!!

Sort of dark mirror of utilitarianism...?
