The American Dream being available to everyone is a better image. At least in 2024, 53% of Americans thought it is still possible. No doubt, Trump's actions in 2025 tell us it's not what republicans want.

This describes conditions for citizens. Populism is same political philosophy being tried again by republicans. Talking points are very much the same. It never works to the favor of average citizens, only the ultra wealthy. Argentina's Juan Perón was an economic populist & it destroyed his country.
