Owner of PastPortland.com, the Portland history site. Dungeons & Dragons DM and player. Occasional illustrator, supposed artist. Logistics is my day job.
Was doing some paper crafting and coming up with designs is a lot like web programming except you have physical versions of all your past failures leading up to the current build (which also failed).

Drew some weird monastery for my #DnD game and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out but sad I didn't have time to add shadows.

Very jealous of the person in my neighborhood that owns this li’l guy.

I recently bought Mothership (a sci-fi horror roleplaying game) on a bit of a whim, and hoo boy, I’m excited to play this with a group!

Drawing random guys. To what purpose? No idea!

Here's another one of my random drawings, this one for sure from the late 2000s. Almost 100% certain that this was a real person I saw at the library who I overheard asking the question.

My computer tells me that I drew this in 2009, but that may have been when I scanned it. More likely drawn sometime between 1998-2003.

I don’t normally go around taking pictures in public bathrooms, but this was something that I ran into last night.

Back in 2000 or 2001, I curated an art show called "The President's Show" and 43 different artists each made a work based on a President. I saved Jimmy Carter for myself. This painting went missing around 2005 and this is the only photo I have of it. #JimmyCarter

I went to pick up a take-away order that my wife, Heather, ordered for us.

I've been going through 1934 newspapers and there's this really horny comic called "Ella Cinders". The character is kind of a Betty Boop figure, but is always in a state of near-undress.

Ran out of time to do more work on it, but I think this guy turned out okay.

I got stoned the other day and sketched out a portrait of a significant NPC for this weekend’s D&D game. I’m hoping that I can make the time to do a better version before Saturday. #dnd #ttrpg

What if someone made a version of the Cybertruck that still looked dumb as shit but actually totally fucking ruled?

The voters’ pamphlet is legitimately my favorite thing about election season. You won’t believe how many freaks and weirdos they can fit in this thing!

Playing a one-shot D&D game this weekend, so I made a halfling bard. Wish I’d spent more time drawing him, but I’m pretty okay with how this turned out. #dnd

Hey, Portland! You gotta get out and vote today or tomorrow! There's some Multnomah County Commissioner candidates and a District Attorney candidate that you're really going to want to vote against! #pdx

Just found this in an April 20th, 1934, issue of The Oregonian.

One of my coworkers has the Skeksis council from “The Dark Crystal” as her Zoom background and it’s made me realize that this is my exact aesthetic I have of the world when describing my D&D games. #dnd
