My first advice to junior contributors is to STOP using vibe coding for PRs. OSS is always about people more than about code. We don't need more code generated by LLM, we need more people who care.

Me, 6 months ago: "Wow, I've got this idea for an event and the budget just got approved and I'm so excited to plan it!"
Me, currently: "I forgot how awful this is. If I never plan another event it will be too soon."

I recently got back from a great conference & instead of a typical recap, I wrote some thoughts on conferences in general & in particular my love of small community conferences (even though they can be very fragile & fleeting)

I am looking for a full-time job.
Being independent in open source for 3.5+ years has been wonderful. I've gotten done most of the high-level goals I wanted to, and miss having people & structure around me.
If you know of a role for a staff-level TypeScript+web developer, let me know! 🙂
