to keep me warm, i would down a plate of grilled sausage, sauerkraut, and crisp potatoes, paired with a side of sea buckthorn glögg. the sun might set at 3 pm this time of year, but the christmas market makes it all worth it.

it felt like old town transformed into the winter wonderland you see on tv, with lights strung across historical roofs and terraces. cultural dance performances were set on stage, and santa became the rightful celeb strolling across the square.

i’ve been easing into forms of electronica, but i specifically love artists who curate sounds that combine raw acoustics. i think this concert did that so well, making it feel intimate with the live instrumentals and pulsating lights.

easily, these tracks are now on repeat.

i also ask for us all to have more conviction and to find ways to pursue what we each find beautiful. to look at your past, observe the common threads, and see how you can influence the present and transform the future.

it’s only here till march of next year, but i love how his work showcases so much good social and political commentary throughout the contrasting colors and iconography.

i finished the day leaving the bog at sunset. next time, i’ll come at sunrise.

this specific trail goes through the forests, guided with wooden trail paths that take you through the tall trees. but the part of the hike that shocked me was the floating bog path, where you literally get to walk on top of the water and stand next to floating peat.

little did i know that the studio was actually located in one of the actual towers, where i now take classes (more on that later).

what’s even crazier is how you can go up more stairs to see some of the most beautiful views of the old town. i’d like to say that this now is my little secret gem.
