I take the same approach. Too much negativity out there with filmmaking and I'd rather be a source of positive discussion. Decided around 2021 to not post neg about films anymore, only positive. Been through the ringer both as writer/director, and below-the-line, so I get how much work is put in.

Honestly, O' Leary's casting is the only thing going against it for me.

I have a love of people taking sports that should never be taken seriously, and making whole ass movies about them.

I desperately want to make a Mini-Golf movie.

Also, 6 oz.

You won't be, if you cave and give us a Benoit Blanc movie with the damn Muppets.

Media literacy is at one of those things that just gets worse as time goes on.

Well I mean you just answered it. There was no AI.

Yeah, but the sequel was a blast, and even then they talked about it being every 10 years.

Im down for it.

Star Wars has had both good and bad over it's entire run, and some of the best stuff to ever come out of it was Andor, way late in the game.

This is genuinely a fascinating way for them to go. Going the Doctor Who route with the casting just for the hell of it is a great idea, and I am 100% down. Now knowing what he's doing, my mind's just racing with possibilities of future actors.

Haha, all good. Girl Gone Bad was a really fun and challenging shoot, but like anything, it isn't without its flaws.

We had some pretty vicious (as well as some pretty solid) reviews when it released, so I really meant when I said yours wasn't my worst.
November 10, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Well, certainly not my worst review 😅

Absolutely mindblowing to me that he's defended like he is.

Without a doubt, talented musician and performer.

Also a child molester.

Drive Away Dolls was fun as hell.

As* Chappelle, damn it.
October 14, 2025 at 9:19 PM
I misread Chappell and Chappelle and my first thought was "The fuck? That doesn't track."

Been one of my most anticipated this whole year. Stoked.
October 14, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Ooooh, there's Casablanca discourse I'm not aware of?
October 9, 2025 at 4:07 AM
It's refreshing to see, even if it shouldn't be.

This is some great advice. Just about go into my first paid rewrite (my partner and I got our first option this year) and this helps ease the nerves a bit.

Thank you! I have always been a staunch defender of the first one (specifically) and this is a big reason why.

It leaves so much to the imagination, with a concept that is visceral in nature. It gets under your skin in the right way.

Plus, Dieter Laser was a riot as Dr. Heiter.
