November 2025 in Lincoln averaged warmer than normal & drier than normal. Warmest temperature was 78°F on Nov. 14, which was a record high for the date coldest was 15°F. Lincoln's first measurable snow after summer was on Nov. 29, 12 days later than normal. lincolnweather.unl.edu/november-202...

at 10:15am the back edge of the snow is one county to our west. Snow should be ending soon in Lincoln. Around 2 inches of snow has fallen across Lincoln. Forecast high Sunday only 23°F and lows as cold as 8°F this coming week. Daily highs warm to near normal Dec. 9-13.

The graph shows 26 forecast models of snowfall amounts for Lincoln and they range from none to 5.9 inches with an average of 2.6 inches. Surge of even colder air arrives tomorrow. High of only 22°F on Sunday with some lows in the single digits next week.

Continued dry thru tomorrow. First surge of cold air is here with even colder air arriving Sunday with a high of only 23°F (22 degrees BELOW normal) and a low of 10°F. Snow expected in our area overnight Friday to mid-day Saturday. I'll update the forecast later this afternoon.

PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK: Lincoln dry today thru Thanksgiving Day. SNOW TODAY to our north in SD, ND and MN, The earlier forecast of a Friday snowfall and a Sunday snowfall system are now merged into one main system primarily on Saturday in our area. Look for updates here as we near next weekend.

TEMPERATURES: Lincoln's low yesterday 47°F was a record "High-Low" (warmest daily low temperature for the date and was 22 degrees above normal). A 12-day cold wave begins tomorrow peaking this coming weekend into early next week. Forecast high Sunday of 25°F, is 20 degrees below normal.

Warm 60s today then a major cold wave is on the way starting Wednesday and peaking the Monday after Thanksgiving with a high only in the mid 20s. Snow possible Sunday and Monday after Thanksgiving. Too early to forecast snow amount.

Lincoln's temperature today reached 65°F at 2pm, just 3 degrees shy of the record for today of 68°F. One more mild day tomorrow then two waves of colder air will invade our area with highs in the 40s by Thanksgiving and highs only in the 20s the Monday after Thanksgiving.

From Noon, yesterday, Thursday, Nov. 20 thru 5pm today Friday. Nov. 21, a total of 30 hourly observations, the temperature was stuck between 42°F & 45°F in Lincoln (5 hours 42°F; 15 hours 43°F; 5 hours 44°F, 6 hours 45°F). Thick cloud cover this time of year result in near constant temperatures

Lincoln's Thanksgiving week weather forecast: This coming weekend highs Saturday & Sunday low 60s. Rain Monday 56°F. Much colder by Thursday, high 41°F, low 21°F. Even colder weekend after Thanksgiving with possible SNOW Sunday. Tuesday after Thanksgiving forecast high of only 26°F & a low of 13°F.

Yesterday's high of 71°F could be our last high in the 70s for 2025. Cooler week ahead with highs ranging from 47°F to 61°F. Extended outlook has colder than normal by Thanksgiving with daily highs in the upper 30s & lows around 20°F. Possible rain snow system in Nebraska around Thanksgiving.
