The entire stock market is a hostage situation. Maybe a better analogy for the market is everyone aboard bailing like mad so the ship doesn't sink. Or perhaps the most ironic example of "United we stand, divided we fall"

You probably have to rethink more. When your city is 1,290.6 km2, and there is no city center ... you're kinda screwed. It would need to have been rethunk over a decade ago. Wish we could start over. (Los Angeles, but other cities as well.)

I have trouble with the books located in LA where someone is in Long Beach and they suddenly need to get to Oxnard and it takes them 45 minutes. And anyone who says "I'll be right there" in LA isn't in LA.
