Since Trump has no concept of what ex post facto, means he decided to give most of them pardons. Apparently, 14 had their sentences commuted and are now petitioning for full pardons.

I should add that, the fact that SCOTUS gave him said immunity after he apparently ordered and made accommodations available to some members of the insurrection, was not taken into consideration by the Supreme Court.

That’s his idea of being loyal to him over loyalty to the Constitution. After all SCOTUS gave him immunity for “official acts” which he interprets as any order he wants to give, therefore, he cannot give an “ illegal” order.
