My biggest hater take is probably that I find Fortnite to be absolutely dystopian. It's giving me feelings of dread and despair to see all these intellectual properties™ come together in a franchise slurry.

We don't talk about the number of timepieces I own
This is especially humiliating because I will continue to have ADHD.

I am a guy who will be constantly late despite having a special interest in objects that tell time.

It would be pretty incredible if Rs sh*t the bed so bad that ppl campaigning under their fursonas start getting elected 😆

(MI-7 is an R+0 PVI swing district btw)
""I'd heard of furries, but to be honest, I didn't think they were real. Then one filed to run against me for Congress," stated the email. "Samuel Smeltzer, whose furry name is Elyon Badger, announced he's running against me, in costume, on a far left progressive platform.""
'The furries are coming for me!' GOP lawmaker turns heads with odd fundraising pitch

Treasure Planet 2 (unproduced): The Centurion, art by Emil Mitev

It's all the more unfortunate that Treasure Planet didn't find its audience, as it was conceived as the beginning of a saga. A sequel was already in pre-production before being canceled a few days after the film's disastrous release.

Pssst, hey! Yes you. The one suffering through an awful holiday just because: "well, they're my family, what else am I going to do, etc."

You can just not go. You can walk away. You don't have to endure people who don't respect you. You can find your people and build your own family and future.

Just like UBI & Medicare for All would be much better uses of taxpayer dollars.
Anderson Cooper: So it's more expensive to have a chronically homeless person living on the streets than it is to actually subsidize an apartment for them?

Answer: Yes, we’re paying more as taxpayers to walk past that person on the street and do nothing… #HousingFirst

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Our trans kin aren't going anywhere. There will always be more; you cannot harass a facet of humanity out of existence. So if we could be kinder to the ones who are here now, I would really appreciate it.

Be nice to my friends. And to the ones who aren't my friends. Please.

a big runoff last night, in New Orleans:

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.

So Duncan ran to become city clerk himself, and yesterday ousted the incumbent.
