Speaker Mike Johnson wants you to know, "I'm grateful to God for being able to get this Bill done. Our rights did not come from the government; they came from God himself."

On behalf of Democracy loving Americans, I say this to Speaker Mike Johnson: Go F*ck Yourself.

For 50+ years, GOP presidential wins have often depended not on democracy—but on manipulation, voter suppression, or backchannel deals.
Let’s connect the dots.

1968: Nixon sabotaged Vietnam peace talks to hurt LBJ and help his campaign.
LBJ called it “treason.”
22,000 more Americans died.
Nixon still won.

Since 1988, the GOP has lost the popular vote in 7 of 8 presidential elections.
Yet they’ve held the White House for 12 of those years.
How?
Not by expanding their base.
By shrinking the electorate.

This isn’t partisanship. It’s a pattern:
• Secret deals with foreign powers
• Strategic voter suppression
• Judicial interference
• Racialized election policy
All documented. All real.

Until we admit it—until we name it—we’ll keep losing our democracy in slow motion.
The GOP didn’t win fair and square.
They rigged the system, again and again.
And we let them.
Let’s stop pretending.

(1) One of the saddest things about the trump era is how it has divided friends and family… not because of simple political differences, but because it has exposed who is willing to embrace cruelty, dishonesty, and authoritarianism.
March 19, 2025 at 10:42 AM
(2) Trumpism isn’t about policy disagreements… it’s about values. It has shown us who is comfortable with hate, who is fine with misogyny, who ignores blatant corruption, and who is willing to throw democracy under the bus in exchange for power.
March 19, 2025 at 10:42 AM
(3) That’s a hard thing to reconcile when you see people you once respected cheering for a fraud who openly mocks the disabled, dehumanizes immigrants, brags about assaulting women, and tries to dismantle the very foundation of our country.
March 19, 2025 at 10:41 AM
(4) I never wanted politics to define my friendships, but support for trump isn’t just “another opinion…” it’s a reflection of character. And every time I see someone I know defending him, it’s a painful reminder that they’re okay with the kind of rhetoric and policies that harm people I care about.
March 19, 2025 at 10:41 AM
(5) That they’re okay with a man who wants to rule, not govern.

So yes, it makes me sad. And if you’re feeling defensive reading this, maybe it’s worth asking yourself why.

We all have a choice. We can stand for democracy, decency, & truth, or we can stand for a man who cares about none of those.
March 19, 2025 at 10:40 AM
(6) But let’s stop pretending both sides are the same. They aren’t. And history will remember who defended democracy and who cheered for its destruction.

Hi, I'm the guy who used to oversee the federal government's agency IT telecommunications contracts. This is extremely bad. There is absolutely no need for this. Not only is it a huge security exposure, but the simplest explanation for this is that it is meant to be a security exposure.

Arrest the MF’er
Here we go: openly ignoring federal court orders.

Trump is saying "Oh yeah? Make me." Knowing that the enforcement mechanisms--US Marshalls, the FBI, etc--are under control of the White House now.

That leaves no way to hold him accountable but mass protest. Hegseth is ready to shoot protestors.
This is outrageous. Judge Boasberg’s order went against government agencies which were in the US, and which were in direct contact with the plane. He must hold them in contempt of court.
