Today's Complementary episode is a very special one. We were joined by Virginia Howlett, Microsoft's first interface designer and author of Visual Interface Design for Windows. She's also known for the Verdana and Georgia typefaces! Highly recommend her book.

Excited to be speaking at @figma.com Config this year alongside @lukasoppermann.com! We'll share how designers can make better decisions by being active in the development process, and how pushing beyond traditional design roles unlocks new opportunities for impact.

I'm taking an interior design course, and I was all ready to learn new tools or work with pencil and paper. But here I am, using Figma for everything (so far).

I think the lesson is that it's okay to use the tools you know best when you're learning a new thing.

New year, new podcast art! We're also celebrating 50 episodes 🙌

Episode 50 felt a bit like a therapy session for me where I discovered that "starting from scratch" isn't generally in my comfort zone. Perhaps an area to explore more this year!
