Me too. That's what I'm saying.
We need to redesign society to be more about tapering down as we age, rather than a sudden cutoff.
When I was a kid, if our teacher was sick, a 50-70yr old experienced former teacher took our class for the day. Only did a few days a mth, loved it. Great, not exhastd!

Sure, yet our China experience is useful, we enjoy sharing it.
Less hours per week perhaps, but not a sudden cut from 40-50hours a week to Zero like you are dead?

Some things they advocate are merely what other Euro countries do: "Free, publicly funded and democratically run, good-quality education, available to all at any age. Abolish university tuition fees and write off student debt"

Also "Reduce the state retirement and pension age to 55."

Goodness. I'm not far from that. And have decades left in me.

That said, sure, long weeks are more & more tiring. Would rather UBI so all have a base survival, then can apply experience, in less hrs (particularly those in physical work)?

Sorry, guess I'm mixing up with "The Socialist Campaign Group" and sounds like some of this situation is related to that history?

Re Socialist Workers Party goals"All workers to have trade union rates of pay":
How would that work when so many ppl are self-employed?

Yes, presumed might go that way.
Can't understand why they don't want Socialist party members when a) they are socialist anyway b) socialist party don't run against them-correct? c) Labour party has joint socialist party membership, correct, & has strengthened them,. no?
Do they now want to win?

Perhaps controversial but a review of the Royal Family’s tax obligations may assist the UK finances ?

Wonder why people get outraged by the less fortunate getting help from the system but don’t seem to mind massive handouts to the ultra privileged?

Gave some donations this week. Hoping the help gets to them

Wish I could too.

Yes. Well explained.
November 28, 2025 at 4:56 PM
Yes. What.
But many (not all) everywhere do seem to become more "conservative" as we age (political science seems to show?), and I imagine there is a huge insecurity the older one gets, family relying on one, to protect one's "security", and "do what it takes" for that?

I just find it so useful to understand why people are the way they are.

Wish we could get better at healing trauma in our societies,... especially of our leaders.
So many bullied and abused. Guess what they do to others..

So it's Grenfell Tower all over again.
Very sad for #HongKong.
A friend there just said a carer of a friend may have been trapped inside with baby :-( :-( :-(
What is the point of "growth" if we do this to ourselves?
