The other game I can think of like that is bowling

I have a rotating collection of fidget toys that I use to keep my hands busy in meetings or when staring at code trying to figure out how best to solve a problem.

I don’t really get the “drowned out” thing, but I also have always generally avoided algorithmic timelines. As soon as I could no longer use Tweetbot with Twitter, I left.

Which is all to say, I think starter packs are a good idea, but I may have over-relied on them at first, and that’s now giving me (oddly enough) the opposite sort of friction here.

That vetting also gives me a sense of who they are, so when their name shows up on my feed again, I have some context on where it’s coming from.

Usually before I follow someone, I look at their timeline to confirm it’s stuff I want to read (and a certain compatibility on some matters of importance to me), but with starter packs…I don’t know that.

The main thing I’ve run up against lately is the Mermaid version baked in. I love the native Mermaid support! But I’d love a newer version of it to get access to more diagram types and options.

At Bitwarden we do the year.month.count method, basically. It has the advantage of making it something we don’t have to think about particularly, and easily communicates what future version we’re talking about.

I plan on doing similar on my next personal project, as a result.

My Xbox tag was so old that wasn’t an option for me 😬 though I’ve since updated it to my usual “gamer” username/persona. Not that I play Xbox anymore, but it’s the principle of the matter.

Honestly I like how Nintendo is just a number and you can change the display name at will.

Definitely! Especially if I can pick the numbers (I have a few sets that are my go-tos for that). Unfortunately, that’s not a model that always is applicable 😫

This looks really cool! Even if there’s not much data yet this cycle, that gives you time to zap bugs and polish things up from public feedback, and be in a good position when the election cycle is in full swing.

Thank you! I wasn't working at Bitwarden at the time the decision was made; however, our CTO made a reddit post explaining why we decided to move to native: www.reddit.com/r/Bitwarden/...

Personally, I like the native app more than the MAUI app, but I'm a little biased 😉

Here is Bitwarden's guide for migrating from 1Password to Bitwarden: bitwarden.com/help/import-...

Though when I migrated, myself, I did it manually one-by-one, which gave me a chance to clean out a bunch of my old logins that'd been hanging around for a long time, but didn't need anymore.

I've got a handful of tickets I've been making my way through lately. No unifying theme, though, just taking care of tasks. Sometimes that's just how it goes.
