I work in some of the most impoverished areas of the world and when I tell them there are American people who are hungry and who stand in lines for food, they think I'm joking. When they realize I'm not joking, they cannot believe that could happen in the United States. And frankly, neither can I.

Only the John Robert's Supreme Court would have even granted certiorari in this case. You spend your life staunchly believing certain things. For me, one of those things was the non-corruptibility of the U.S. Supreme Court. Shattered.
It starts with knowing the truth. Don’t allow yourselves to be gaslit into believing this is a real question.

The indomitable Shirley Chisholm was born #OTD in 1924.
In 1968, Chisholm became the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress. She represented NY's 12th Congressional District for 7 terms (1969-1983).
Posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015.

I highly recommend the audiobook version of Separation of Church & Hate. The content substance is excellent in any format, but John's narration is one of the best vocal performances of a written work I've ever heard--his passion, personality, and comedic style come through vividly, masterfully. 👍
