Indeed. My source for case studies when teaching Yr 11 Enviro Sci was Tony Juniper's "What has Nature ever done for us?".
As we carry on Landcare-ing, & supporting groups like Bush Heritage, I'd ask the boffins at Treasury/ BCofA "How productive is protecting an ecosystem, or saving a species?"

Smoke inhalation is the most common cause of death in fire incidents. Pollution, especially air pollution, has become a significant factor in fatalities, (& chronic diseases ) worldwide. Wildfires are increasing in frequency, scope, intensity, & fatalities.

Appalled by The Age editorial #Melbourne saying continued protests for Palestinian safety and justice are “tone-deaf intransigence.” Excellent rebuttal here. Imagine such protests for Jewish safety in 1940’s Germany described in this way 🤯 There is *never* an excuse for apartheid/ethnic cleansing.
