A couple weeks ago, I found myself with a broken car too expensive to fix so shopped for an EV. Can't tell you how thrilled I am with this #Nissan Ariya, a used 2023 model that feels new, is like driving a cloud, and wasn't that expensive. Amazing to charge the whole thing for 13 bucks at home! #EVs

Rick Steves gave a rousing speech at the #NoKings rally in Edmonds Washington today. And God must’ve been on our side because the rain held off until right after he finished. #seattle #savedemocracy #godblessamerica #nokingsday #peacefulprotest #releasetheEpsteinfiles @ricksteveseurope.bsky.social

Good morning, BlueSky! My 'Ann Folkard' geranium is still blooming, just like the Mariners baseball season. This is a great perennial to grow, in #Seattle or most zones. Have a lovely day! #gardening

This morning, I was stunned to see my yucca gloriosa blooming. It took 12 years! Love that raspberry color on the petals.

It's amazing how something so beautifully complex as a rose can be so common. Life truly is about stopping to smell the roses, or at least pausing to enjoy their beauty. Grateful for plants today.

We went to this in Belgravia many years ago. When the ceanothus were in bloom in Eccleston Square. It was spectacular. As a gardener, I was delighted that I could tour it. Thanks for keeping them lovely!

Good Friday morning, gardeners! I noticed my golden chain tree in bloom and it brought me such joy. First time it's bloomed since the transplant years ago.

Does anyone else grow Madame Lemoine lilac? It's so strongly fragrant, when I put them in a vase, they flood the house with a heavenly sweet smell.

Good morning, #Seattle! I have purple irises and orange crocosmia potted up and ready to give away. And have other kinds of perennials too. One hellebore left. If you like gardening and want free plants, let me know!

Happy Easter! Here's a hellebore I'd like to give away. Great for shade, blooms in early spring and the flowers last a long time. It only needs a little trimming in late winter. Let me know if you'd like it. I'm in the Seattle area. Cheers.

Who else has a Korean spice viburnum? The scent is so sweet and spicy. And it requires very little maintenance. Plus, red fall color. I love it. Happy Friday!

Hi all, I'd like to give away more plants this weekend, but I'm not finding any gardeners in the #Seattle area. If you live in Seattle and need perennials, let me know! Would rather not go back to Facebook for this.

I'm about to give away plants this weekend. Are there any BlueSky folks in Seattle that need perennials? Like this pulmonaria/lungwort? Would rather not do this on Facebook.

The hellebores are showing their gorgeous colors in my garden. Alluring deep purple today.

What's sort of astonishing about daphnes is how every whorl blooms in flowers. So when they're in bloom, like right now, I get sweet-scent-blasted every time I step out of the house. *sigh* It's lovely. Spring is here!

A little bit of blue sky today. Kind of reflects my mood: a tiny patch of hope struggling to break through the gloomy clouds. I hope everyone has a nice week.

A moment of peace: Waimea Canyon in the lovely state of Hawaii. Our beautiful country with its varied landscapes and varied people are worth protecting and fighting for.

Amazing how the scent of a flower can completely change your mood. I didn't realize this little daphne had bloomed until I caught its sweet fragrance on the breeze yesterday.

Let's see what I have to boost BlueSkyers' spirits. How about a pic of a lovely plant shop in #Paris, where they understand the impact of a king's dark, selfish actions on a general populace.

If you're troubled by our mean president like I am, try to do something creative today. Play around with your favorite stuff. Crafts, art, music, whatever. Express your feelings. These are the pure things in life and they'll calm you down.

Last day for the Northwest Flower and Garden Show today! Here are a few displays. My favorite was this giant metal leaf used as a canopy.
