Woof, this is my first time hearing about this. If anything I think the most telling thing is how Zen reacted in the wake of a ton of peoples (understandable) concern. The strong language makes me feel like there's a lack of concern on her part & makes me uncomfy personally :c

I think this is why i get so sad about genAI. Of course, I'm angry about the ethics behind it but it's the fact that people would rather churn out fake, meaningless garbage than experience the satisfaction of growth over their own hard work and perseverance. It's so so sad.

There's also this misconception that after a certain point you've "mastered" art so people chase that pedestal and often get burned out and quit. But the reality is that it's a skill you can hone an entire lifetime with no ceiling. Isn't that beautiful? The possibilities are endless.

Often when people see me work, most mention the idea that drawing is impossible. I always tell them that anyone can draw, and the only thing that separates people who do/don't is the drive to keep trying even when it's bad! It's the same for any skill-- you just have to choose to keep going 😊
