Can be hard to keep going through the periods when nothing seems to work. In the end I gave up on boules and switched to batards.

I've been at it a few years. Had periods when I wasn't getting good results, but at the moment it is going well. Tannee sauchey - stay safe, in Manx.

How big are these things? We have just seen a 10-ton statue of one of our grey herons erected in Castletown, but this one looks terrifying.
