fifth entry for the jayvik horror week. we have a detail of jayce's eye. there's viktor with his machine herald's body inside jayce's pupil. all is dark but for one red light hitting viktor's face. he's trying to make romm for himself inside jayce's eye.
the inspiration for this was the ice shard in the snow queen story, an external body that brings you madness/changing

Post-canon Jayce and Viktor find themselves alone in a plains. The only thing around as far as the eye can see is a decrepit, abandoned church with a familiar rune in place of the cross on the steeple. It's raining heavily, they're both soaked, and dark storm clouds lurk on the horizon. The church is the only option for shelter.

So uh....guess who saw all the amazing art and stories for #jayvikhorrorweek and got inspired when she should be working on her massive big bang fic.

Not sure when I'll get around to fleshing this out, but I was very inspired by dark firtytales with a plucky lead and a creature that falls for them.

Once upon a time, a young man was born, blessed with a golden radiance and crimson passion to a humble smith and his wife. The man was desired throughout a land of plenty for his intellect and stunning beauty. Despite the trappings of mortals who wished him to dance for their pleasure, the boy was distant from his peers and the overtures of the gentry. For you see, the humble smith and his family lived near the woods, where things old and powerful lurked. Seductive voices, soft and smooth as honey and full of longing, that spun traps around unsuspecting mortals called to the man. One in particular sang more intensely, hauntingly than the rest, a deep resonance of metal, calling for his kindred twin soul; it was a pull that could not be ignored. There was a yearning, a contradiction within the golden man, to venture into the woods and seek out this mysterious being.

One day, the man could not resist the call, and so, with much woe and pleading from the rest of his village, armed only with a thin crimson cloak and a golden lantern, he followed the dark path into the woods to meet the enigmatic creature that haunted him from the deep dark...
