At least with Purdue playing IU on a Friday the weekend (and season) is long over now and I can fully shift to basketball.

Thank God its over.

2025 Purdue Football, much like 2024 Purdue football.

3-21 the last two years
0-18 in the B1G
0-21 vs. P5 teams

It's bleak, kids

It is not even another blowout loss, the 18 game Big Ten losing streak, the 3-21 stretch. It's the absolutely apathy around the program now.

Three years ago Purdue was as good as it had been in two decades. Threw it all away and there is absolutely no realistic hope on the horizon.

And we now trail 56-49.

It's time to can Bobinski.

Basketball and volleyball are locked in. Clean house otherwise.
Purdue basketball won by 47 this afternoon:

If you take 46 points across the street to Ross-Ade and gave htem to football could they still win tonight?

At halftime it is Purdue 49 (getting 46 extra points donated from basketball), Indiana 28.

This should win a grammy.

Purdue football in summation this year:
bad offensive line
worse secondary
QB forces throws
receivers plagued by drops
top RB injured
pretty much zero pass rush from the front four.

Other than that we're fine. Our kicker is 15 of 16 on field goals.

That was a great example of how to not tackle someone on a long run.
November 29, 2025 at 2:13 AM
Well, we ran a draw up the middle on 3rd and mid, then surrender punted.

Three years ago Purdue beat Indiana in Bloomington to reach the Big Ten title game. It was their 17th win in the previous 25 games, and of the 8 losses, 3 were by less than a TD. Indiana, meanwhile, was still Indiana.

Since then Purdue has won 7 games in 3 years.

Yet I was the unprofessional college sports media guy.
November 29, 2025 at 1:45 AM
Typical Purdue this year. Dropped a potential game-changing turnover, then gave up a TD.

WE SCORED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purdue (plus basketball) 49, Indiana 7

Purdue has already gotten closer to scoring tonight than it did in all of last year's game.

Purdue defense hasn't been terrible so far. Held on one short field after an INT.

The offense, however...

IU using eight stars in the Mendoza Heisman graphic is stolen valor from their metric football team.

"That's not a drop you see often, especially from Jackson."

okay, so the color guy has not seen any Purdue football this year. My God, Nitro Tuggle couldn't catch COVID at a 2020 Trump rally.

Tracking.

It is not 46-7 Purdue.

We remember:

Well, that didn't take long.

Two plays and mostly game over.

Remembering happier times with Purdue football:

Last Oberon in the fridge. Let's manifest an upset.

It says something when this year I attended the fewest games (three) of Purdue football in a season in more than 30 years.
- Didn't feel like going to the SIU game since it was late
- Went to the USC game, but left early because of weather.
- sold Ohio State for profit
- sold Indiana for profit.
