Highlight was catching an eel! Guide Paddy guessed this one was 2 years old already - crazy to think about their migration and lifecycle. Seeing a Kingfisher was also pretty cool!

Running a @layersoflondon.bsky.social workshop with the wonderful "Lost and Found" heritage trainees from the Thames Festival Trust was a delight! So many great ideas and questions from a wonderful group of budding heritage practitioners, who shared the love of maps as a way to engage in heritage

Have historical data about places that you would like to map? This one day course covers recording historical data in ways that can be mapped, and practical issues of GIS map making with vectors. We still have spaces (in-person) @ihr_history in late May!

We just added the magical 1938 Bartholomew Children's Map of London to Layers of London @chppc.bsky.social This decorative map shows all kinds of attractions in London for a 1930s day out! The map was originally published as a fundraiser for Great Ormond St www.layersoflondon.org/map/overlays...
