On the one hand it’s awful, but like you said crazy and stupid. This is the actual value proposition of leadership imo. One of the rare cases where its value is truly substantial. We have worse than a vacuum.

The outrage economy is bottomless even when it is warranted. I’m always surprised by the number of people that are not only more invested in being upset than solving problems, but are in fact only invested in being upset.
