Journalists or anyone who who wants to bring attention to the stadium decision in Tas, be quick! IMO it is an issue of national significance to see big business colluding with government to bleed an already disadvantaged population dry. Upper house debate starts Wednesday, vote probably Thursday.

#politas: If safety is no longer a factor, tell us? That’s pertinent information & more uniting than the quoted rhetoric. “Takers vs Makers” is appalling framing but I don’t expect better from self-interested parties. I DO aggressively object to the characterisation when safety is the concern.

Something not mentioned & about which I am most concerned as a Tas resident: What happened to the safety concerns? Last I read the various groups looking independently at the plan had major concerns. Have those been mitigated or are we being led to believe this is only about aesthetics?

I only know what I’ve picked up from being a fairly online person - Experts in DV essentially have to also be IT experts now, it’s horrifying. I often think about how all the doorbell cameras mean you couldn’t have the modern equivalent of an Underground Railroad to help people escape.

(I can still scowl and be surprised, as it’s a targeted and minimum dosage, so it hasn’t changed how I look. But the relief is so tangible I’m an evangelist for it now!)

I do not qualify thank fuck, but I was looking up potential rebate because I started getting a single point above my left brow targeted in the last year (out of pocket), & it cut migraines basically instantly as well as dropped my glasses prescription down, much to the amazement of my optometrist!

Just FYI if you didn’t already know: If more than 15 days a month is migraine and you’re not responding to meds you actually qualify for preventative Botox on Medicare. It does have to be administered by a specialist, but it’s an option that is now covered under narrow circumstances.

Add in the 21st Century expectation that everyone be instantly available at all times - There’s many horrifying examples online of ‘normal’ dating behaviours young people don’t think of as being on the spectrum of coercion & control, like abusing facetime privileges or expecting instant replies.

The proliferation of cheap tech like cameras & airtags is just the start. Abusers can now infiltrate every part of daily life including location history, financial/shopping data, social media monitoring, search history, wearable devices, & phone usage without even being technologically advanced.
