Just saw this on a bus in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and remembered your post! I can confidently say that most of them are gone (from buses, at least) so I was kind of surprised!

Just learned that the Victoria and Albert Museum is opening the V&A East Storehouse, saw this photo as an example of how it should look. Honest to God I think I teared up a little. Looks SOO GOOD! And from what I've read it'll be so interesting! Can't wait to visit!(www.vam.ac.uk/articles/abo...)

I'm always so happy when I get these in the mail! I didn't get the spring 2024 edition, so I thought they wouldn't come anymore. I'm glad I was wrong 🥰🫶

Not too late to wish everyone a very very happy new year. I hope it's a good year with lots of great moments and I hope everyone feels like life is worth living even if the world is bad sometimes.

In other news, I woke up today with a message from a great friend (and one of the best professors I had in undergrad) telling me an article I wrote is in the references of a "really good" book she is reading. This one has been referenced a few times now and it's always a joy to see! (I'm the 8th!) 🥰

it's nearly 11pm and still 31°C outside, air feels like I'm inside an oven or something. Earlier the temperature was reportedly feeling like 60°C (!). I've lived here all my life but I'm absolutely NOT used to this

kinda late but still time to wish a happy birthday to the National Library of Brazil, 213th years old last Sunday! It's the largest library in Latin America, and if I'm not mistaken one of the 10 largest in the world 🩷

I was cataloging something last week with this as an illustration (see photo), which got me on a research spiral to find out where it came from. Turns out it's from a MAGNIFICIENT book about Brazil's birds (!!!!) (Oiseaux brillans du Brésil by Jean Théodore Descourtilz)
