Rand Paul: "This is an insane policy. It's inconsistent. It's not war. It's not the way we've ever done this. If we can blow up a boat in the ocean, what about when they get to Miami & put it in a truck? Can you shoot a grenade launcher at the truck? No! We arrest people b/c sometimes we're wrong."

there is no available evidence that donald trump understands what a tariff is, what a trade deficit is, and what the national debt is.
The way Trump talks about the problems he caused by unilaterally imposing tariffs is fairly insane, even by his standards.

Trust in mainstream media is at rock bottom. Can it be fixed?
Why so many news consumers are turning to individual voices and away from institutions

SCHMITT: I'm not familiar w/ the facts or circumstances

S: What do you mean you're not familiar? It's been front page news

Something every 2026/28 Dem should commit to is investigations of any company that did deals with Trump. A kind of forward guidance to get companies to think twice in advance of what’s coming.

Yes.

It's full on moral collapse.

Once a nation has descended into this it's not possible to recover. Why say that? Well, who do you see in the entire GOP who's stopping ANYTHING he's doing.

-->You see not a single one doing so.<--

Thus, the GOP are our enemy.

A big part of the Baltimore–Washington Parkway is under federal control (National Park Service) so they don’t have to coordinate with state & local authorities. I would take I-95 as an alternate where there is much higher traffic volume.
ICE is now setting up racial profiling checkpoints to stop people on major US highways. These checkpoints are being seen near Washington, DC on the Baltimore-Washington Pkwy, on the DC/Maryland border.
