Who is really surprised by this?? Willis took too long to bring this forward and let her ego get in the way. We had a window, and these people like Willis and Garland didn’t see that it was going to close. I'll never understand why they both took so long. At least New York got it done.

The state of Texas has already taken over Houston Independent School District and is set to take over Ft. Worth ISD soon. It's Gov. Abbott's slow but steady dismantling of our public education in favor of his Christian nationalist voucher program.
