OHS has an overall Metro budget of $11 million.

Too much of that is tied up in unnecessary bureaucracy including publicity stunts that help no one but OHS itself!

OHS is more focused on using their new $5 million as a slush fund to keep housing placements high. Keeping people housed is just as, if not more, important.
OHS' housing placement formula has kept politicians on their good side. Again, keeping folks housed is less visible and garners less attention.

We can prevent local people from losing their housing AND discuss how to adjust funding priorities to counteract the damage.

We have known the feds would cut permanent housing resources through the CoC for weeks. But when OHS was asked direct questions, they did their usual avoidance dance.

To provide some context, dozens of people placed into housing under this program have signed one-year leases. There is no evidence they actually receive intensive supports as the document claims. They have no chance to afford a $1,400 monthly rent without assistance if this programs cuts them off.
