Oamaru is a lovely place with lovely people. also the kind of place where a shopkeep can just pull out two axes from below the counter to show off when she starts talking about ren faires, before insisting on taking a pic for you in her photo booth. what a magical place.

trains are nice ways to travel. open observation decks are cool. and apparently my fate is to always choose the spots with All The Wind for selfies.
