Emotions matter, but we’re supposed to be smart enough to moderate them, not be ruled by them. If you hold yourself superior to “the enemy”, be careful not to act with the same behaviors they demonstrate while demonizing, dehumanizing, and threatening you for objecting to their self-righteousness.

It doesn’t matter if ”they” don’t believe in the rules. If WE don’t abide by the ideals & ethics we judge them evil for violating, we ARE THEM. If we hold nothing important enough to resist violating it “in order to defeat them”, we’re no improvement on “them” and are fighting over mere tribalism.
