A day late, but 'tis still the season: watching John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN with my love @laurenjane.bsky.social as is only right and correct.

In place of a seat, there is an oversized wooden board, perhaps plywood, scuffed and scratched with marks and stains. On the sidewalk, three white plastic chairs stacked on top of each other. The topmost chair has collected water & dirt on the seat. The second chair has a purple cushion on the seat, only visible by the ties on the back post holding it in place. The third & bottommost chair is a mystery. The chairs are stacked beside a light post & in front of a boring grey minivan. The photo is rather monochromatic, which makes the purple of the cushion ties stand out.

Yesterday was too warm and too humid and I cannot wait for this season to be over.

The rope is caught in movement, but the texture of it against the skin is clear. It is intimate, warm, close, anticipatory.

I've been seeing movement out of the corners of my eyes for the past hour or so, and I know my old cat has been dead for more than a year but maybe there's truth to the idea that All Cats Are Quantum?
If so, say hello to Coco, my dearly departed (but I guess still sticking around) shadow of a cat.
