I’m thinking a large part will be asynchronous, with live meetings occasionally.

Yes I feel this strongly - well-said.

Yes it really does come down to organization! I've been really feeling this strongly as I transfer projects into Scrivener too. Organization = an unappreciated form of creativity.

Yay! Just added you to the list :)

Yes I’ll need to start doing that too! And will definitely add you! Not sure if I have your email or not, it would you DM it to me? That’s how I’ll share more details as it comes together.

Wow, that's inspiring to hear, Victor - good for you. And it gives me hope for myself too, as I'm one of those who would love to sleep in when I can. But it does feel great, doesn't it, to get so much done so early. Anyway, hope you join us! I'll add you to the list and let you know as it happens.

Yay! Would love to have you be a part of this, Holly! I'll add you to the list and let you know as things come together.

YES I'm going to add this to my current psychoanalysis of my characters. Such a good one.

Thanks for mentioning all these, Adam - I'm loving it so far. I would say being able to drag and reorder sections, right now, has been the most helpful - but looking forward to trying all of the others you mentioned.

I think it would be GREAT for organizing a poetry collection! I'm going to use it for assembling / ordering my short story collection, in addition to multiple in-progress novels.

Oh wow, that sounds like such brilliant icon usage! I haven't gotten there yet, but am excited for it!
October 25, 2025 at 6:24 PM
That's impressive! Yes, agreed - I'm loving the organizational possibilities. Some of that was possible in Google Docs, with links and outline mode, but this just feels more succinct and easier to navigate.

Yes, I am LOVING the color coding, something I tried to do (with inferior results) in Google Docs. The ease of moving sections around is really, really worth the whole thing for me.
October 24, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Yes, that's smart to wait for that upgrade!

It took me a couple hours to go through the tutorial they provide, but it was very helpful and very thorough. I recommend that as a starting point!

Ah thank you, Ani! That means a lot. I hope you enjoy it!

For those who aren't One Story subscribers: One Story sends out one great story each month, in the mail. It's perhaps the MOST readable lit mag. And the stories are truly great. Highly recommend subscribing (not just so you can read my story, which I hope you do!) one-story.com?gad_source=1...
