I'm just now learning that quote wasn't about the Walton family of billionaires.

Since you don't seem to be contributing anything, I think this discussion has run its course. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

He's president because he got the most votes, obviously. But he got those votes, in part, because elites in charge of holding him accountable failed to do so, sending the message to voters that he was ok to vote for. Hope that clarified my position.

Oh so I woke up in the universe where elites didn't completely bungle the Georgia prosecution or slow walk the federal investigation? That's good to hear.

Biden Justice Department slow-walked key decisions in Trump legal probes
The picture of a hesitant Justice Department runs contrary to the GOP allegation that the indictments of Trump were the product of a Democrat-led plot.

What responsibilities am I dodging? I volunteered, phone banked, voted, and encouraged others to do so. Just because many voters made mistakes does *not* somehow mean elites are somehow magically blameless.

By not trying and convicting him, many elites led the public to think he must not have done something wrong! It's easy to blame voters for their mistake, which they certainly made. But voters were responding in part to elite inaction.

It's not John Q. Public's job to try and convict people of crimes.

The Biden admin, the Justice department, and notable others, like some in Georgia, utterly failed in their duty in that regard.

Yeah but then you'd have to be in California

The press treats science at best as an undiscovered country, and at worst as a hostile power invading deeper truths revealed by instinctual understanding.

What is it with the pictures of humanoid robots in this piece? I understand (perhaps wrongly) them to be a total boondoggle.

I did, it was ridiculous. Instead of engaging with the fact that his arguments lack any evidence except his own conspiracy theories, you conflate the other side with Covid lockdown regrets and then say he looks like a comic book character.

Turn it into a team. Ford is the Charlie giving his Angels their missions.

We can't replace Ford. But we can recreate him in the aggregate.

In 1776, approximately 50% of the humans who occupied the current continental US were Native Americans, and they did not inhabit a “wilderness” awaiting “civilization.” I’m also assuming the ~18% of all residents of the 13 colonies who were enslaved in 1776 aren’t being counted as “our ancestors.”

And to be clear - he had this information when Trump brought RFK JR. onto his team before the election, right? He had this damning information on possible cabinet member?
