Bluepals, on next Saturday me and Mike Barnes will be at the Half Moon in Putney with Jacqui McShee, chatting about her fave Pentangle album Solomon's Seal - reissued this week via Cherry Red - and having a listen together to the full LP, loud.

Event details are here: Our Pentangle Listening Party takes place at the Half Moon in Putney from 1pm-4pm and celebrates the remaster and reissue of Pentangle's 1972 album Solomon's Seal, their last LP featuring all original members Jacqui, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Terry Cox and Danny Thompson, who sadly passed away two weeks ago. In 2014, Danny commemorated his 75th birthday at the Half Moon with a week of gigs - he was not short of a guest or two as he's played with pretty much everyone. We'll have a long chat with Jacqui, share some memories of Danny, then a listen to Cherry Red's remaster in full, loud. After we'll have a mingle to a 1972 playlist put together by Jacqui. Tickets are £12 in advance and £8 concessions (student, NHS, Blue Light, seniors) and includes a free Solomon's Seal button badge.

Totally agree. I’ve had some banging Ploughman’s in the last year including this beauty - for two people to share - from The Hole In The Wall, Bowness-on-Windermere, the Lake District

A good post day today, Spiral Galaxy from Steve Krakow in Chicago and All The Young Droids from Night School records in Glasgow ✌️
A 12-inch LP of Spiral Galaxy by Spiral Galaxy which had a blue and yellow psychedelic graphic on the cover and features Jean-Herve Peron and Ryley Walker, on the excellent Cardinal Fuzz label, and Phil King’s All The Young Droids junk shop synth pop 1978-1985 compilation on CD. The black and white cover is a photo of New Zealand musician Alastair Riddell posing with a TV set, which has the same picture of him with a TV set repeated in a Droste effect.

Wow wow wow, a beautiful big peacock butterfly sunning itself in the garden. I've not seen one for years! There seem to be more butterflies around in general atm, or is it just in my little patch in 'Ampshire?
A peacock butterfly on a fence panel. Its wings are fully stretched out and you can see the lovely colours; mainly a rusty red with brown jagged fringes then what looks like two eyes on the top wing-tips. These are red, yellow, black, blue and purple. There is one visible 'eye' on the wing below, tucked underneath the big wing. The body is brown and furry, there are two delicate straight black antennae.

Surprisingly, no. I've lost the one with Bill Oddie, which was taken on a fun afternoon. Some of my 'bigger' interviews were on Zoom (like with Ice-T and Alex Lifeson, not at the same time!). I did interview Joan Armatrading recently tho! I have me & Barry Cryer, and me w/ David Suchet somewhere...

Fab stuff about #Floyd in the latest Classic Rock mag (and I also have features in with The Damn Truth, and spoke with Alex Lifeson and Maiah Wynne from Envy Of None). Off to see Pompeii at the weekend in the bustling metropolis that is Basingstoke...
Classic Rock magazine on my 70s orange-tiled coffee table. The cover image is a still from Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii, a silhouette of a member on a ridge against a sunset about to hammer a huge gong. The cover quote says 'It's the father and mother of Dark Side Of The Moon'. The issue comes with a free A1-sized Pompeii poster and an A5 laptop sticker that says Pink Floyd. They have a vintage 60s/70s psychedelic, longhair bohemian rockstar style with frontwoman/guitarist Lee-la in an animal print halter-neck top and trousers, styled with bangles, big belt, loads of necklaces. Very cool. The alt.rock/electronic quartet Envy of None shot against a white backdrop.
