2 responses I use 2 help shift “-“ &fixed mindsets in #PE class. I’ve even used on myself 2 get my mind focused on possibility.

Do u find Ss focus on what they can’t do or embody a fixed mindset?
Maybe ur own mind or POV is slipping to a fixed 1 or dreading something to do/teach in #PhysEd class.

Weather systems have fascinating names. Example: in the Pacific Northwest we are about to get a “weather bomb” or a #BombCyclone later today and tomorrow. Intense winds (100+km/hr), heavy rain and more. The satellite image shows how large and intense it is

Student #motivation in PE continues 2b a challenge for many #PhysEd Ts. While no approach works 4 all we can b mindful of conditions we create in our classes &how they impact one’s intrinsic motivation.

🔑pt: the more controlling r classes the ⬇️motivated kids will feel & rely on external stimulus ☹️

I put this on other platforms, & the responses have been 🤔
A common challenge in #PhysEd: the outdated idea that all Ss must do the exact same thing. Not only is it outdated, it’s demotivating!
Good news: it doesn't have to be this way.

How can we rethink #PE to meaningfully engage every learner?
