After getting annoyed with my first playthrough of Outer Worlds 2 and fast forwarding through the last half of the game, I gave it another run where I just specced entirely into guns and didn't try to do things like "exploring" or "having fun" and it made the game a LOT more coherent.
To say I'm a "hater" would infer that The Outer Worlds 2 made me feel anything at all
