Madrid has wonderful streets with great potential. The Salamanca district in particular, could create fabuous pedestrian streets if they were wiling to give up their parking.

In Seattle, Ray Gastil showed me around the various waterfront transformations. Lots of TOD transformations and public art too. A great city for an urban planner!
