I'm all for road safety but you could have every cyclist in the land wearing a full suit of Christmas lights and drivers fucking around on their phones will still knock them down

My thermal leggings have just arrived to go under my trousers for when I'm working from home.

I guess I'm old now.

It's a story as old as time itself.
People with a £2 million house complaining they can't afford an extra £5k a year. And then you read down the article and they're also whinging that their *second property* that they rent out, might be due for extra tax too!

Cry me a river.

For anyone panicking about the EV pay per mile. I’ve just done the sums on our average mileage and home charging (yes, I know it’s more for public).

15000 per annum at an avg 45mpg and £1.45 a litre = £2194

15000 per annum at avg 3.4mpk and 7p charging = £309
15000x3p = £450
Saving £1435

CUSTOMER SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

If you're normal sized, I dunno, say a medium in most clothing manufacturers sizing, Rapha tights will not fit you, even if you buy XL. I couldn't even get them over my thighs. I don't know what world those guys are in but it's not closely associated with the real one

I've not done much riding or indeed, exercise for a while. Mental issues for the most part.

Yesterday I cycled to work. Very chilly. Long, long day. Finished late and cycled home with frost settling on cars. As a result, I went absolutely flat out for 13 miles.

Today. "ow, ow, ow...ow"

£133 BILLION
Since 2011 the fuel duty freeze has cost the Treasury £133 billion.

This huge amount could have paid for lower train and bus fares, better stations, safer walking, wheeling and cycling and much more!

Today I learned that stalking a 17 year old girl, writing up a 400 page 'dossier' about her, falsely reporting her to the police and smashing her phone does not constitute 'harassment'.

One wonders what *would*.

Compassion is a better investment than greed.
“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

Bought a balance boards to help with my back pain. Tried it when I got home, which was fine.

Then I tried to get off it. On a tiled floor. And fell off. Now my back really hurts.

I endorse this message. I went Brother laser earlier in the year (selling my previous [and much hated] inkjet printer for a tenner to a man who *eventually* came to collect it in person). It's paid for itself already, is quiet, just works, stays connected. 1/2
