I worked in a grocery store for a bit in college. I very clearly remember a woman who nearly broke down at the register because we didn't have the milk that was allowed and she couldn't get the other milk we did have.

This is the type of thing that radicalized many of us.

Holy cats, that fourth blue answer. I had no idea

Can ya'll fix the headline on this article?

"SNAP runs out of money Nov. 1. Here's what that means in your state"

The program isn't out of money -- it has a contingency fund that the government is refusing to use. You know this.

They both got hit, but Steam handled it way better.

Steam identified the material, removed it, and accepted the loss of part of their creator / customer base.

Itch made unnecessary blunder after unnecessary blunder, each time hurting their creators and alienating their community.

@merriam-webster.com honestly surprised y'all don't have this version of "Aunt" as one possible meaning of the word.

I attended a technology talk last week on writing better prompts for code creation and the speaker would not stop anthropomorphizing LLMs.

Literally stuff like "they have the same motivations that humans do" and "you have to keep them happy".

This is in addition to the cat food I need to run over and donate to them as well. We were introduced by our vet, collecting pet food, but they do amazing work for hungry humans too.

Nah, you're 100% right. I put the wrong number and the actual demographics are more impressive than my messed up summary
October 25, 2025 at 11:23 PM
"71% female, 29% male."

"The majority of [women] fell between 41-50 at 66%."

"The next highest category were fans between 21-30. 52% female, 48% male."

So 3 in 10 are women overall and 50/50 in the target demographic for advertising spending. Joshua, smh.

We also have silos full of grease that I'm sure can be put to good use against them.

I was having a day earlier this week and made a point to do my box breathing. I was still annoyed afterwards, so who knows.

Well, then someone needs to learn to write better subheadings / skeets / teasers, because there's nothing in any of those three to suggest otherwise or entice me to subscribe to was more.

Yeah, I'm not paying for someone to gaslight me to believe that a web store that capitulated to unlawful demands in a way that hurt and robbed LGBTQ+ creators is anything like Wikipedia, which routinely and continually fights in courts to protect their editors and content.
