For sure. Smoked mackerel is a bit oilier than smoked haddock though, so I might counter that with lemon juice and lemon wedges to serve. A simple cucumber raiti would be good too www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes...

Pretty adaptable too. Don't have smoked haddock? Just chuck some prawns in. No peas? Chop up some French beans (which is what I'm doing tonight). I'd draw the line at no eggs though; that's a sin.
