It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

1/Hegseth is now boosting posts claiming the “kill everybody” reporting is a “lie.” At the same time, he frames the strike as Bradley’s decision. He is publicly removing himself from the chain of causation while placing responsibility on the operational commander.

The publisher of Franklin the Turtle has condemned Hegseth's vile meme, stating the character stands for kindness and empathy, values utterly absent from an administration joking about deadly strikes. This tone-deaf stunt underscores their moral bankruptcy.

It’s important to note from a military perspective that if a subordinate is about to give an unlawful order & his senior knows about it, it’s also a requirement for the senior official to stop him from executing it. And then counsel/discipline him.

So there’s that, too.
