Maybe true of hardcore MAGA, but veteran’s groups that tend to lean right DID care. Some were actually running private rescue missions to get people out.

Both parties ran the Afghan war. The call to bring back Afghanistan allies in 2021 was bipartisan, and one of the critiques of Biden was that he didn’t get MORE out.

Won't happen soon. The "money men" behind Trump are the big tech guys who will stay with him as long as his hands are on the financial regulation levers. They will also support Vance if Trump exits early, at least at first.
