Much of that was the Pentagon again. Trump dropped the subject and the brass, who didn’t want to withdraw, assumed the policy hadn’t *really* changed.

When Biden took office DOD said “sorry, no plans” but Joe, who had been in DC forever, figured they were stalling and said “IDGAF, do it”.

Maybe true of hardcore MAGA, but veteran’s groups that tend to lean right DID care. Some were actually running private rescue missions to get people out.

Those folks don’t have any pull in Trump 2.0.

In 1910 internal combustion was the best solution. A few electric cars were being sold but power and range couldn’t compete. (Steam was also an option with its own set of problems.)

Get well, Hat.

Both parties ran the Afghan war. The call to bring back Afghanistan allies in 2021 was bipartisan, and one of the critiques of Biden was that he didn’t get MORE out.

Many Afghans who worked with the US and in danger from the Taliban were evacuated in 2021 and given temporary residency, then widely seen as the right thing to do for allies.

Many applied for permanent asylum. The shooter was evaluated and approved. Final decision was reportedly last April

On health care Republicans are in Dunning-Kruger territory. They don’t know what they don’t know, which is why every proposal draft falls apart.

It’s also why the last serious GOP policy exercise ~20 years ago produced a plan that looked a LOT like Obamacare.

Trump is guided by personal vibes more than policy outcomes. He trusts Witkoff/Kushner (and Putin), iffy on Rubio, no on Zelenskyy or most European leaders.

That doesn’t always push him to the right. Mamdani played Trump well and may get something out of it. or at least get him to leave NYC alone.
November 26, 2025 at 4:13 PM
The “end” is obvious: undercutting Witkoff’s pro-Russian influence on negotiations.

Better but longer. They wanted a short ad for TikTok and Instagram.

Best may have been to cut two versions, the one released and another with “why now?” examples mixed into it.

"Midnight oil" is older than fossil fuels. Various oils and fats have been burned in lamps for lighting at night.

An early example is the Hanukkah story.

Actually 67. It takes a full two-thirds of 100.

You're right on the main point, though. It's a HIGHER threshold than the 60 votes needed to beat a filibuster. It's also fixed *in the Constitution*, unlike the filibuster which the Senate can change or remove at any time.

Response to FBI: no thank you, I stand by my statement.

Response to the public: a follow-up video, same setup, this one describing the Trump admin threats and ending with “we stand by our statement”.
November 25, 2025 at 6:04 PM
This possibility is why the Founders put the Speech or Debate clause into the Constitution. (They didn't think of *everything* but got a lot of stuff right.)

Which will catch another legal challenge from Comey if they try it. IDK who wins: there’s little-to-no case law that fits this exact situation.

Modelo? MODELO??

I volunteer to open a detention center for illegal alien beer. (Don't be surprised if some of the beer becomes untraceable.)
November 24, 2025 at 9:13 PM
He has to get one confirmed by the Senate, can’t do another interim/acting.

Can refile James charges. Comey maybe not: his case is now beyond statute of limitations time limit.
November 24, 2025 at 6:25 PM
Better than Halligan.

It’s mandated by statute. The President can make one Acting appointment for 120 days max, then the judges pick until somebody is Senate-confirmed.

Trump can *ask* them to select Halligan but can’t force it.
November 24, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Common negotiation technique, Trump didn’t invent it.

It’s being used here, but not by Trump against Ukraine or Europe. Russia has successfully “anchored” Trump.
November 23, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Won't happen soon. The "money men" behind Trump are the big tech guys who will stay with him as long as his hands are on the financial regulation levers. They will also support Vance if Trump exits early, at least at first.

One shilling.

The last time a bat and ball were that cheap was before decimal pence.
November 21, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Can the indictments obtained by Not A Prosecutor be declared Not An Indictment in a way that lets EDVA refile the James case but doesn’t trigger the six-month extension on Comey?
November 20, 2025 at 12:06 AM
So they’re trying to make the GJ Coordinator the fall guy?
November 19, 2025 at 11:52 PM
Cuts both ways. If Comey was a nobody he wouldn’t be a DOJ target, but he also wouldn’t have galactic-scale defense resources.

My 23andMe report says “Signs point to yes”.
