Ideological irregular. Former country lawyer, Chairborne Infantryman, teacher, farm hand, etc. ABD (neoliberalism’s infestation of adult ed) with much of it drafted and personal projects aplenty. Auburn, Alabama mostly. Usual disclaimers. juntogunto.com
And even if Doug comes up short, this type of aggressive and angry campaign will do Brand D more good on down the road than some sort of shitty Kumbayah approach. It builds lists, develops the bench, etc. It’ll be closer too. Doug might not be ideally built for such a battle. But he can manage.

… Republican leaning voters in hopes they’ll come over to you. While a few may, especially with Tubs on the ballot, Doug will do much better to blast away at how jacked up the GOP has become - with Tommy Tuberville as Exhibit A. He needs to ridicule him, point out how irresponsible he is, etc.

But 2026 is, even here in Alabama, going to be a referendum on Trump. Everything, or at least most things, are now about national politics. Again, Doug has to turn out his ‘base’ and give some infrequent voters a reason to show up. I believe it’s generally a lost cause to appeal to Republican or …

… reactionary, radical, revanchist … garbage from the current administration. Tommy Tuberville is a big fat 🎯 and easy to use as an example of what’s gone wrong. Doug can safely abandon his tendency to want to reach across the aisle. There’s hardly anyone left over there to bargain with. Sure, he …

Jack’s pretrial diversion didn’t mention that he’d be taken care of. Again, all these ‘leftists’ the 1819ers are carrying on about seem rather scarce. What’s not scarce it seems is the same old same old. The hegemony and those who serve them run most things here. vestaviavoice.com/api/amp/news...
