No. I want the federal govt to pay for it. They piss away so many hundreds of billions of our tax dollars each year that they should at least foot the bill for all election expenses.

There would be no problem getting enough people in NYC to hand count the votes in NYC. Guaranteed.
And there is nothing wrong with the bloated federal budget including significant funding for US elections. Funding at the state level just allows for the continued gerrymandering we too often see...

The pentagon loses track of billions of dollars every year. We could afford to overpay tens of thousands to count votes & ensure a free and fair election, which we quite clearly did not have in Nov '24.

With so many out of work or underemployed in Trump's cratering economy, it would not be a crime to take 1/10 of 1% of the Pentagon's grotesque budget to hugely overpay tons of people to hand count ballots and ensure free and fair elections... Think we could get enough volunteers at $100 per hour?
