You're completely right, but the e-bike rules here are quite restrictive (and e-cyclists behave well here). I remember sharing trails as a pedestrian in Antwerp (Belgium) in 2019 with fast e-bikes who were going about 35km/h on narrow trails, next to slow car traffic; that was frightening.

I would even say that my 15kph uphill on Morris (with a line of cars behind me, cos I have to avoid the dooring zone) is appropriate, as long as we don’t get a bike lane there. 🤠

Their incompetence is very efficient, though. They keep getting away with all their shenanigans.

And 2020, the year every cyclist would fly up Pine Street, without any problem

Also the zigzag from Wyse to Burnside still bugs me

Kinda funny how in 2020 there was absolutely no need to connect Point Pleasant

Surviving the car centric hellscape day after day, we must be giants! </s>

I just used it! I had to go against traffic in the opposite car lane though, wouldn’t recommend, but traffic was so slow it wasn’t too bad.

HAHA HAHAHA o boy, wow (I'm just at THE question here, it might get worse) </me keeps shaking head, will it ever go back to normal?>

Honestly, I'm outraged either way.

We've had nearly a decade of persistent and pernicious delays to the city's planned bike infrastructure. The fact that every AT project experiences these issues, and no one at any level seems to have learned from the last one, is reason enough for outrage, IMO.

I can’t imagine it’s more comfy on a bike in dark and rain.

Slightly unrelated, but I walked Maynard from North to Cunard on Sat night in the rain. It was so dark there i found it scary every time we were crossing a street when a car came along (and yes, this was while i was using a 500 lumen bike light i always have in my coat)

Current fave route from bridge to my house: up nantucket, using mup, left into no frills parking straight until that weird short driveway right uphill into Green Rd, left, right into nova ct, 25m sidewalk, Demetreous ln, cross Vic Rd (good overview there), onto Cherry Dr, then left on Slayter

Before the bike lane on Wyse, i biked Wyse between Nantucket and Boland about 4x/week, I gave up, although i sometimes take it between Pelzant and Albro; the right hooks were crazy (might be better now w/construction @ nofrills) and the terrible bike light forced me into the road anyway

If something goes green, it must be for the pick up truck. Out of the way you peasants! </s>

The pedestrian use of the colt is very different than along Banook; i have refused to use the banook mup since covid, colt is fine (note, i do use the mup at grahams grove to brookdale, as it’s very different than the other part along banook)

One of the main reasons i dislike mups is that HRM keeps building them way too narrow, example: the new mup between Northbrook Park and Vic Rd in Dartmouth, absolutely impossible for 2 ppl w/ strollers to cross each other without going off the mup.
