So sick of banking in Korea. I've visited a local branch now three separate times, with visits of upto 2 hours a go, simply to be able to get and use a bank debit card for international purchases.
Visit one: Setup the new company bank account (1.5 hours). Add spending limits.

Det relevanta med gigjobb är att de oftast är ovärdiga och superexploaterande. Men jag har ett intressant särfall i mitt liv nu; min skyddsling cyklar ut mat några timmar i veckan och är vanvettigt stolt över att ha ett riktigt jobb. Som han klarar utan specialbehandling.

This entirely anecdotal but whenever I discuss the Korean nuclear debate with Chinese I get the distinct sense that they are more concerned with US-ROK nuclear sharing (aimed at them) than independent armament (aimed at North Korea).

전에는 한국이 핵무장을 한다면 미국이 한국에 경제제재를 가해야 한다는 분위기였다. 그런데 요즘은 한국의 핵무기를 만들면 중국이 한국에 어떠한 보복을 취하는 지를 먼저 보아야 한다는 분위기로 바뀌었다고.
만약 중국이 한국을 제재한다면 미국은 한국을도울 수 밖에 없을 것이라는 의견이 많다고.
